NPHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
North Plainfield High School Alumni Association annually sponsors and financially supports four scholarships to NPHS graduating seniors. They are described below. Please support NPHS Alumni Associations Scholarship programs by sending a donation to NPHS Alumni Association, c/o Daniel Battista, 34 Regent St., North Plainfield, NJ 07060, or by donating on line at the Make a Donation link on our home page.
North Plainfield Alumni Association Mario Caruso Memorial Scholarship: The North Plainfield High School Alumni Association will offer two scholarships, one each to a graduating female and male, who demonstrate academic achievement and community service, and who plan to continue his/her education upon graduation from high school.
Richard E. McKenna Memorial Scholarship – A $500 scholarship in memory of Dick McKenna, a teacher and coach at North Plainfield High School will be awarded to a 4-year college bound student, who plans to major in science. The applicant should have a B average, a career in NPHS athletics and must demonstrate financial need.
Earnest Jaeger Scholarship – The Jaeger Scholarship was formed with donations from former North Plainfielder, Mr Donald Bowers, and will be available to a deserving NPHS senior. Mr Bowers and Mr Jaeger were college classmates at Montclair University. Mr Bowers found out what we at North Plainfield High School would also learn, what a wonderful friend, mentor and educator Ernie was.
